HIDDEN DISABILITIES SUNFLOWER PROGRAM LAUNCHES AT MKE
MILWAUKEE (December 3, 2021) – – Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport has launched a new program aimed at making air travel easier for passengers who have non-visible "hidden" disabilities. Through the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program, the Airport will provide green lanyards featuring bright sunflowers to discreetly identify passengers who may need additional support, help, or a little more time.

SANTA'S MAILBOX ARRIVES AT MKE
MILWAUKEE (December 2, 2021) – – A Letters to Santa Mailbox has been set up in the Main Terminal at MKE. Travelers are invited to drop off letters which will be flown to the North Pole on an Alaska Airlines flight as part of an award-winning program.

BIGGEST SURFACE REHABILITATION PROJECT IN 40 YEARS UNDERWAY AT MKE
MILWAUKEE (AUGUST 17, 2021) – – A major rehabilitation project replacing the surface layer concrete on Runway 7R / 25 L is underway at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The rehabilitation project uses recycled concrete aggregates to keep construction costs down and create an overall greener operation.

AMERICAN RESUMES NONSTOP SERVICE FROM MKE TO MIAMI
MILWAUKEE (April 19, 2021) – – After successfully flying the route this past winter, American Airlines is resuming its Saturday nonstop service between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Miami International Airport (MIA) on June 5, 2021. The flights will be offered every Saturday from June 5 – August 14, 2021 and November 13, 2021 – March 22, 2022.

UNITED ADDS NONSTOP SERVICE TO FIVE GREAT SUMMER DESTINATIONS
MILWAUKEE (March 25, 2021) – – United Airlines is adding new nonstop service from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport to five popular leisure destinations on the south and east coats of the US. Beginning May 28, United will fly nonstop from MKE to Charleston, SC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Pensacola, FL; Portland, ME; and Savannah, GA. All five destinations have never had nonstop service from Wisconsin before.
